The month of April is here and this is my favorite month of the year. Why? Well it's my birth month of course! But April is also my favorite because it is National Poetry Month, National Earth Month, the spring season kicks into high gear and I love April Fool's Day. I'm sharing some activities that we plan to do this April and spring season. Hopefully you will enjoy them too. Check out April Activities for kids below.

1. Read and learn about poetry.- As an avid reader, poetry is my favorite genre. We will be reading different types of poetry and learning to compose our very own poems. Education.com has a nice selection of poetry resources. Notes From The Portable also shares how you can teach poetry!
4. Read about Earth Day. - For as long as I can remember, I have taken my daughter to an annual Earth Day festival at a local college. I'm not sure if we will be able to attend a festival this year but we will be reading about and doing Earth Day crafts!
5. Tell a few funny jokes for April Fool's Day!
This month will be so exciting! We have already had nice weather to begin nature journaling and poetry books have begun arriving in the mail. What are your plans for the month of April? Let me know in the comments below! Until net time.
