The Best Memberships For Kids in Atlanta

Since having my daughter and beginning home-school, I have re-discovered how fun my hometown of Atlanta can be. There is so much to do here and it is easy to spend a lot of money figuring out what activities you like best. As a stay at home mom and homeschooler, finding ways to have fun while also watching my budget has been a top priority for me especially now that my daughter is old enough to enjoy much of what the city has to offer. I'd like to share some of the best memberships to have in Atlanta.

The Best Memberships For Kids in Atlanta - TheDailyAprilnAva

1. Children's Museum of Atlanta - With only a short walk from the train station, the Children's Museum of Atlanta is one of our favorite places to visit. The new exhibits are always fun and the permanent exhibits makes for a full day of museum play. There is paid parking in the area and the museum offers a variety of membership options.

2. Center for Puppetry Arts - The Center for Puppetry Arts has to be my favorite for my kiddo! We both love watching the shows. A membership here is worth the investment as there are always new shows for kids, in addition to some adult shows and a puppet museum. This museum offers a variety of membership options and parking is free!

3. Fernbank Museum Of Natural History - This museum was recently renovated and there is now a super fun outdoor play area. This  museum is great for indoor exploring on rainy days and outdoor play on sunny days. The new exhibits have all been excellent, indoor play space is perfect for elementary ages, and there is even a movie available to watch. Fern bank Museum often runs discounts on their memberships and parking is always free.

4. High Museum of Art - The High Museum membership is the best membership. I love it because there are almost equal adult and children's events, I may even use the membership more for myself  than I do for the kiddo. There are member only preview events, toddler and family events, teen events, literally something for everyone.

5. LEGOLAND Discovery Center - We've only had this membership for a few months and my kiddo has had a blast each time that she has gone to Legoland. This indoor playland is one where you can sort of sit and let the kids do their own thing. However, I do find myself building cars and towers with Ava while we are here.  Legoland will definitely come in handy this summer when the weather reaches scorching hot temperatures.

6. Museum Of Design - We have gone to MODA a couple times and have always enjoyed the exhibits. I'm mentioning MODA because the membership here is FREE! Yep, not only is MODA across the street from the High Museum, but a Design Club membership here is free. We usually visit the High Museum and afterwards we visit MODA, great for an all day adventure.

Finding ways to entertain children outside of the home can really begin to add up, especially if you are like me and love the thrill of something new everyday. I find that memberships are the most cost efficient way to have fun aside from free activities that libraries may offer. Memberships are also great for use when being outdoors isn't an option. How do you like to entertain your children? Do you have any museum memberships? Let me know in the comments! Until next time.
