Atlanta Fall and Winter Events You Don't Want to Miss

Happy Fall everyone! I hope you enjoyed the festivals this summer had to offer. Now I would like to round up some family friendly fall and winter festivals for you to enjoy. Check them out below.

1. Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade - September 22, 2018. A family friendly nighttime favorite. Feel free to bring your own lantern to walk with in the parade or just enjoy watching. 

2. Old 4th Ward Fall Festival - September 22, 2018. Before watching the lantern parade, stop by the O4W fall fest to enjoy food, a kids area, music, and build your own lantern for the parade.  

3. Sandy Springs Festival - September 22-23, 2018. Pet parade, art, food, music, and a children's area with rides, games and crafts. 

4. Candler Park Fall Festival - September 29-30, 2018. Food trucks, live music, and a children's area. 

5. Atlanta Streets Alive - September 30, 2018. I can't wait to hop on the train to enjoy a car free Midtown! Still deciding on if I'll bring my bike or just enjoy the walk. 

6. Ghost Tours - October 2018. October is the start of all things spooky and my kiddo is obsessed with being spooked! We went on a ghost tour last year and had such a fun time. The ghost tours are in Lawrenceville, GA but are well worth the drive! 

7. Atlanta Parent Magazine Family Festival - October 6, 2018. This festival looks loaded with fun activities for the kids! Admission is only $5 per person and includes 5 activity tickets.

8. Fall Fun At Atlantic Station - October 13, 2018 2pm - 6pm.

9. Spooky Film Festival - October 13, 2018 After the Fall Fun event, stick around to watch Hocus Pocus on the lawn at Atlantic Station. 

10. Halloween Hikes - October 19, 20, 26, and 27, 2018. The Chattahoochee Nature Center will be hosting family not so spooky nature hikes this October. It your little one loves being outside, this would be perfect for them. 

11. Fall Festival On Ponce - October 20-21, 2018. Art, food, music and a kid's zone. 

12. Little 5 Points Halloween Parade and Festival - October 20, 2018. Perhaps the best parade of the year, Ava and I excitedly await this parade every year. There are costumes everywhere, music, food vendors, and just an all around good time! This is the one event that you shouldn't miss.

13. Grant Park Halloween Lantern Parade - October 26, 2018 6pm - 10pm  

14. Dinosaur Trick Or Treat - October 27, 2018 10am-2pm. The Fernbank Museum is hosting it's annual Halloween Party for kids. We are museum members and will be attending this event for the first time this year!

15. Goblins In The Garden - October 28, 2018 10am-4pm Families can enjoy fall art activities, train rides, and scarecrows at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Feel free to wear costumes!

16. Trick or Treat at Atlantic Station - October 31, 2018 4pm-8pm We trick or treat every year at Atlantic Station and it's always nice. Not too crowded, activities on the lawn, just a fun time.

17. Santa's Arrival At Greenbriar Mall - Novenber 17, 2018 1pm-4pm. There will be a parade and festivities.  Parade: 1 p.m.-2 .p.m. to begin at the South Parking Lot (Back of the Mall) Live Performances/Festivities: 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. Macy’s Stage

18. Light The Station - Atlantic Station will be having their annual tree lighting! Lots of things to do from 1pm-8pm on November 17, 2018. 

19. Buckhead Holiday Kickoff - November 17, 2018, 4pm-7pm. Get ready for a magical night with a ballet performance and lighting of the streets. This year's holiday theme is Land Of The Sweets.

20. Macy's Pink Pig - An Atlanta favorite. Runs through January 6, 2019 and rides are only $3!

21. Children's Christmas Parade - My end of the year favorite! We love seeing all of the holiday floats, bands, and even pets! December 1, 2018 at 10:20am.
