Our Fall Children's Book Picks

books fall autumn library homeschool reading top mom mommy blogger atlanta georgia

The fall season is one of our favorite seasons in our home. We love attending fall events and attractions in our city, we love fall crafts, and fall themed books. Even though the fall is Ava's favorite season, we only own one fall book! This prompted a trip to the library to look for more fall themed books to incorporate into our homeschool day. Here is what we picked up.

Books Pictured
1. Fall leaves fall by Zoe Hall - I found this book at Goodwill when Ava was a baby and she still likes to read it.

2. Fall by Mary Lindeen

3. Rotten Pumpkin by David Schwartz - Ava is obsessed with the process of decay lol. When she saw this book, she had to have it. We have had to renew this book 2 times because Ava likes it so much.

4. Apples and Pumpkins by Anne Rockwell

5. Fletcher and the Falling Leaves by Julia Rawlinson - Ava fell in love with this book when she saw and listened to it on Book Flix. This book is a longer book, but the narrator's voice really brought the book to life and Ava reads this book over and over again.

6. Fall Is Here by Frankie Jones

Books Not Pictured
7. Fall is Here! Counting 1-10 by Pamela Jane - A cute little rhyming book, great for toddlers.

8. My Autumn Book by Wong Herbert Yee - This is another book that Ava likes to check out over and over. The girl in the story likes to make a fall leaf picture which has been Ava's favorite activity lately.

I would recommend adding these books to your library list. What fall books are you reading this season. Let me know in the comments! Until next time.

  3. My children love to read. I’ll definitely have to look for these on our next library visit. We don’t have any Fall books in our own collection. I think it’s pretty cool to switch up the readings as seasons change and holidays roll around.
