Our Visit To The Center For Puppetry Arts - Mother Goose Performance

*Our visit to the Center For Puppetry Arts was provided by Brave PR Atlanta.

This mama is proud, I officially have a theater loving child! Today was a special day, Ava went to her first play at the Center For Puppetry Arts. We were invited to see the Mother Goose show and we had a blast. Check out pictures below to find out why you should take a trip to the Center For Puppetry Arts.

I was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia and I have only been to the Center For Puppetry Arts once, maybe twice that I can remember. Before now, I didn't feel Ava was old enough to sit through a play but my little lady is almost 4 years old and I felt that she would really enjoy a puppet show. Today was a special day in which I was able to take Ava for her first visit to the Center For Puppetry Arts to see the Mother Goose play, theater for the very young.

We arrived a little before the play began, so we were able to take a look around the Worlds of Puppetry Museum. We saw the puppets from the global collection first, there were puppets from all over the world. Ava could immediately point out which puppets were from Africa. My favorites were the puppets from Asia.

The Jim Henson Collection of the Worlds of Puppetry Museum brought back so many exciting memories of watching Sesame Street and The Muppets growing up. Ava was equally excited to see Big Bird and Elmo. This interactive exhibit allows children to see how puppets are made, and even put on their own puppet show.

By the time we finished looking around the Worlds of Puppetry Museum, the Mother Goose Play was beginning. The show was fun, colorful, and Ava has an amazing time! There was singing, crowd interaction, and dancing. I like that the audience was able to get involved with the play, kids typically don't sit in silence for long, so it was refreshing not to have to shush my daughter.

The main star of the show gave an amazing performance, and I would highly recommend going to see this show. Mother Goose will be showing through September 17, 2017. Have you taken your children to the theater yet? Let me know in the comments. Until next time.
