Our Trip to the Central Library! 2/100

So normally on rainy days, I like to stay home because I don't like driving in the rain. But it's literally been raining for a month and Ava and I were going bonkers in the house. I decided to take her to the Central Library which is in downtown Atlanta.
A trip to the Central Library is quite the adventure for us. We have to find parking, we get to see the streetcar, and we get to walk between tall buildings to get to the library. I used to go to the Central Library every now and then when I was in high school, I remember it having the biggest selection of books.

The Central Library has drastically changed since my childhood. The children's area is now on the bottom level along with the auditorium  and art exhibits. The children's area is so adorable, you enter through a tree canopy! It's very bright and inviting.

Today we did a bird craft based on the book Beautiful Blackbird by Ashley Bryan. Of course my little lady wanted a pink bird.

We browsed the book rows to find a few to take home. Whenever we go to the library, Ava just has to take home a new book lol.

We also stopped to pose for a picture with The Cat in the Hat. Overall, my little lady had a fun time venturing to a new library. Not sure how often we will go back since we have to pay for parking downtown and the library that we go to weekly near us is pretty great. Until tomorrow!

  4. I need to take my daughter to the library. It's the place that I wish I had at the forefront of my mind when I am thinking of things to do. Thanks for the reminder it looked like a blast!
