Summer break is over and school is back in session. But, there are still a few fun and FREE events happening around Atlanta. Check them out below!
Create ATL - "Sundays are for families at The Woodruff Arts Center! Explore, play, learn and create art in an interactive, family-friendly environment including free activities, every Sunday from 1 – 4 PM." Click the link to register.
Home Depot Kids Workshop - Home Depot has a free monthly kids building workshop. It happens on the first Saturday of the month and this month is August 5, 2017 from 9am-12pm. Check out the Home Depot website to register for your closest store.
Atlanta Back To School Festival - This event actually happens outside of Atlanta in Mabelton, GA from 12pm - 5:30pm August 5th, at the Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre. Free admission and parking. There will be a parade beginning at 11:30 am, food trucks and a dance competition. There will also be a fun zone with inflatables, a rock climbing wall and bounce houses. Click the link for more info!
Atlantic Station Back to School Bash - Saturday August 12th from 1pm-4pm. There will be crafts and a school supply donation bin. Publix will also be providing snacks.
Piedmont Park Arts Festival - Happening August 19-20, 2017, this festival is very similar to Dogwood Festival with art vendors, music, and a children's play area. Any festival with a children's area is deemed kid friendly in my book lol.
Grant Park Summer Shade Festival - August 26-27, 2017, there will be a 5K run, vendors, live music and a children's area.
Latino Festival - I feel like I don't embrace Ava's Latino culture enough, so I think attending this festival will be quite the experience! August 27, 2017, there will be live music, ethnic food, and a kid's zone.
Looks like there is something to do every weekend! I can definitely appreciate weekend events, Ava likes to get out the house, she asks "where are we going today?" every morning lol. Do you see an event that you are interested in? Let me know in the comments! Until next time.
